Vanessa’s Story
Vanessa Gehring grew up in Zionsville, Indiana. She graduated from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington where she studied opera and biology. She is currently in her last year of medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine and will be starting a General Surgery residency this summer. She is both excited and can’t believe that by the time her wedding rolls around, she will be a doctor.
Paul’s Story
Paul Kusisto grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After getting his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Indiana University in Bloomington, Paul moved to Seattle in 2017 to start a job as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he still works today. In September of 2020, Paul moved out of his apartment, and began traveling the country living and working out of a converted campervan.
Our Story
We met in August of 2013 as freshmen at Indiana University where we both lived on the same Honors floor in the dorms. We hit it off immediately, and started dating in September. Eight years later, after so many life changes and experiences that our 2013-selves never could have seen coming, we’re so excited to get married before Vanessa starts her residency program.

Doors open at 4:30 PM. Free parking is available on-site, though there is a short walk to the ceremony location, so we encourage guests to leave a few minutes for the walk from their vehicles.
Transportation to the ceremony location is available for guests with mobility concerns.

The reception will begin shortly after the ceremony. Dinner will be served indoors at the same venue as the ceremony, with a connected outdoor space for dancing.

The best way to get to the venue is to drive, either on your own, or via a ridesharing service (Uber, Lyft, etc.) or taxi. There is no public transportation to the venue.
